Ok Crispy, I am here. Now 1st off, I am struggling to see what these kind of threads will achieve. anyway, I will give my 2c. I won't put any of these cars in any order, because, 1) there are no distances 2) nobody knows the conditions of the motors 3) Who say's the drivers know how to launch or drive their cars. 4) this is just gonna cause alot of unneccesary arguments and banter. kthnxbye

ai tog no need for name calling bra as factory spec you already the answers coz its obvious But when you mod a car all those thats go out the window coz each car responds different to mods Just look at the build of prof. That engine is rated at 70 something kw and who would have thought that a small 1600 could make 140kw without turbo.

and there me calling you an idiot plays itself out... after i apologised to you. but clearly it hasnt hit home yet everyone else just told you that these crappy threads serve no purpose because all you do is SPECULATE(go check it up in the dictionary), as to the outcome of certain races. YOU ARE SPECULATING! carfolio does have the stats, you're just not looking. and if you cant find it on car folio, just google!!! yaaasis these threads do NOT offer any fact or knowledge to anyone.

you asked which of these cars would win in a RACE. the z18 vs x20 thread asks which motor would be best in a corsa when comparing ease of fitment, cost etc... thats not at all the same. so while you through your tantrum in the mall like child read here http://www.carfolio.com/specifications/ ... ?car=390171991 Opel Astra 2.0i 16v performance 0-50 mph (80 km/h) 0-60 mph 7.50 s 0-100 km/h 8.00 s 0-100 mph 80-120 km/h (50-70 mph) in top Standing ¼mile 15.90 s Standing km 29.50 s Top speed 216 km/h (134 mph) Fuel consumption CO2 Emissions Carfolio Calculated CO2 ? Power-to-weight 136.36 bhp/ton

its a question, and like the thread says needs/gets straight forward answers!!! oi, leave my thread out of this Dude, guys dont like all this abc'ing crap, it really is pointless, like they said go check the specs, all of it is available somewhere, i mean think about it guy, 2 superbosses race, one is gonna win and one is gonna loose eventhough its the exact same car! so asking what beats what is really pointless... if you want to know if your astra will beat a wheelbarrow then get in your car and race one, then come post the race tale so we can all read and enjoy it. I dont know how long you've had your car or been on the scene, and please dont see this as being arrogant or anything, but take it from the guys that have been around a while, the only way to know is to race... end of story, I've beaten enough cars that I should have lost to, and lost to enough cars I should have beaten to know that the only way to know is to race. So next time your wondering about a certain car... go look for one and race it Now can we all just get along? jarre, you guys are killing my buzzzzz here

shot for the specs, although standard on standard i would never have thought th 200ie runs beter than the tec and 200gxi on a 0-100 basis well just my opinion, i know top end yes as i have taken both a gxi and tec after 3rd but both of them were fast of the line

Standard a gxi makes like 108kw and less talk than a 200iE, so it must lose.
Tec makes more kw, but a hell of a lot less torque.
But in the real world, either can take it. Like I pointed out earlier there are many factors to consider.
