The nightbreakers lasted just under 365 days :|
Thought it would've lasted longer
Anyways, managed to score a set of philips xtreme vision h7 from a fellow club member at R150 (he never used it, he fitted hid's)

After fitting it, the vertical alignment was out so I struggled for a good few days trying to get it right
The one philips bulb then blew, probably cos' I wiggled it too much
Long story short, I found out the vertical alignment adjustment was not a screw on the top of the headlight, but at the back (another club member showed me) cos' I have aftermarket headlights - accident a few yrs back
We also then found out my retainer clip on the drivers light was broken, so he's gonna try & macgyver it for me cos' I ain't buying a new headlight

Ended up buying a new set of nightbreakers (took the unlimited bulbs) for R380 at Midas

I must say though, the nightbreakers shine way better than the philips

Pic of nightbreakers on the left & the philips on the right

The forum serves as a great logbook - at least now I could find out when I fitted those first set of nightbreakers

Sheeewww
Time to update my forum log book

Fitted 4 new tyres this morning & for the first time I couldn't choose what tyres I wanted but had to budget
Called a few places, Ali, Chris, a few other contacts, etc. but came right at Eikestad fitment centre
Paid R680 incl. vat, fitment, balancing for the Sumitomo HTR V6. Doesn't look as nice as the MY01s but its tyres, its new, so it'll have to do
Alignment (they don't have 3d, they have an old ass machine lol) was R285
Had to replace my outer right side cv as well as per norm every few years

Research shows it's an ok-ish tyre I guess. They call it a performance tyre although I'm not so sure about that at this low price
My front MY01's was done, cracked & sh!te (they gave me good kms). My back tyres I can still sell, around 50% tread left

Now I have to find $ to replace my branch (cracked in the middle so the Ute sounds like a tractor) & the 240k major service

PS. I've never been this broke before - ever
